The world of ex-libris has fascinated me for a lot of years. I have started collecting them by chance, keeping the leaflets, given by Professor Ernesto Guffanti, artist and collector, with great care.
Eventually, my passion has increased, and I later personally made a number of etchings.

Since my most important hobbies and interests are publishing and the communication, the step towards the foundation of a Publishing House, which deals with ex libris, has been relatively short.

The book production was intended to be divided into two collections: books on ex-libris and books of poetry, both with original prints.
Unfortunately, it was just too much to handle. 'Artifex' now publishes books on the subject of ex-libris but no longer is interested in poetry.

Artifex also publishes 'Block Notes', the on-line bulletin devoted to the ex-libris and other publishing houses' books, which is experiencing a nice success.
Who knows, maybe one day we'll provide a paper edition...!
