1st International Print Biennial - Istanbul 2008

Isik University and Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts (IMOGA)
By believing that the art and education on art matters a lot, Isik University and Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts (IMOGA) have organized an international contest that welcomes all artists around the world with the aims of bringing original work of printmaking together, forming an international knowledge of art, encouraging artists, arousing an interest of printmaking, and also helping the printmaking to become widespread.
Rules:
1. Subject matter is open.
2. Participants can enter the contest with at most three works that have been created between 2004-2008. Each work must be submitted in 2 copies.
3. All traditional printing techniques are acceptable except digital printing.
4. All entries must be signed and numbered. Label the back of the print with your name, address, printing technique, finishing date of the work and the size of the print.
5. The printed surface of the works shall not exceed 70x100 cm. The works shall not be matted, nor shall be pasted to a cardboard.
6. The deadline for submission is 20 June 2008, the stamped postal date being decisive. The works shall be posted in the safest manner to avoid any kind of damage.

11. Winning printed-art works and other works that are chosen for exhibition are going to be published in CD and catalogue format. All participants will receive a copy of these publications.
12. Submissions will not be returned. They are going to be exhibited at Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts (IMOGA). Isik University and IMOGA may use the exhibited works on their web-sites, CDs, catalogues, journals and books.
13. All winning printed-art works and other works that are chosen for exhibition are going to be exhibited in Istanbul and Ankara not later than September 2008.
14. By entering the contest, the entrants hereby accept the rules and decisions of the juror.
15. All entrants should fill in the following entry form by typing and send it with their work.
