Remo Palmirani Prize 2007 for the scholar

Premiss
The Museo Ex Libris Mediterraneo of Ortona (Chieti, Italy), in cooperation with the heirs of Remo Palmirani, with the “Progetti Farnesiani”, with “Ex Libris” magazine and the “Fondazione Italo Zetti” organizes the “Remo Palmirani Prize 2007 for the scholar”. The Regione Abruzzo, the Provincia of Chieti and the Comune of Ortona have granted its sponsorship. Other sponsors will be communicated later.
Regulation
of the “Remo Palmirani Prize 2007 for the scholar”
1) The participation is free. Unpublished texts (articles, essays etc.) or texts published between 2000 and 2006 are admitted. Books are admitted too.
2) The dealed subjects must concern ex libris; it’s possible to send texts on bibliographic, historical and thematic subjects, researches, not contemporary critical essays.
3) The text must be at least 8000 words long, blank spaces included. To participate please send the text in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, German, on paper or digital support (CD). The author could send iconographic images if useful for the text exhibition. The text should be furnished with the following data: author’s surname, name, address and nationality. E-mail address, a brief curriculum in Italian or English and the author’s bibliography are appreciated.
4) The societies associated to the FISAE, could report and/or send texts of authors in accordance with the regulation will be consulted.
5) The sending of the text should in preference
be by e-mail to: info@exlibrismed.it within 30th may, 2007, otherwise
within the same date on digital support to:

6) The jury, which judgement is unquestionable,
will assign the following awards:
Gold medal with certificate “Remo Palmirani Prize 2007 for
the scholar”; furthermore a stay in Ortona on the occasion
of the prize giving and the publication of the text.
Five merit certificates with silver medal; furthermore a stay in
Ortona on the occasion of the prize giving and the publication of
the text.
7) The “Ex Libris” magazine and the Museum reserve the right to publish on paper or digital support, the sent texts. In participating to the prize the author accept its rules, the author could not ask anything for the sending of the texts and not even for the publication on paper or digital support. All the sent documents will be part of the historical archive of the Remo Palmirani Studies Centre.
8) The prize giving will take place at the Ex Libris Mediterraneo Museum in Ortona on 15th September, 2007. The winners will be informed by letter and or e-mail. The results will appear on the museum’s website www.exlibrismed.it beginning from September 2007.
