Congress in Zwickau, 28-30 April 2006

Invitation for the Annual Convention of the German exlibris Society, 28 April 2006 - 30 April 2006 in composer Robert Schumann's city of Zwickau in Saxonia. Zwickau is also the city of artist Pechstein, and of the automotive manufacturers Horch, Audi, Trabant. The city lies at the feet of the mountains Mittleren Erzgebirges.
The hotel chosen to host the convention is in the middle of the city. Within a few steps there are the historical city centre and the business quarter. The hotel, beside the accommodation, offers conference areas and enough opportunities to have culinary choices.
There'll be no excursions planned, since the city has available an extensive cultural offer in for the visitor's time.

In negotiations it was agreed upon an ideal combination of conference
areas and overnight accommodations. It was possible to arrange the
concept - everything under a roof. The house has all comfort of
a modern hotel, which refers also to the good taste rooms. During
the exchange days the kitchen'll ensure small lunches at appropriate
prices.
To an overnight accommodation with breakfast during the period of the 28.4.2006 - 30.4.2006 apply the following special prices: Single room: 54,00 euro, double rooms: 75,00 euro; this option applies also to participants, who would like to extend their stay for job or for holiday.
NOTE! These special prices apply only with a reservation up to 31.1.2006. The reservation takes place under the code word: "Exlibristagung 2006".
How to get there. Motorway BAB A4 (exit Meerane), BAB A72 (exit Zwickau west/east). The hotel offers car parking opportunities in the adjacent underground parking to house guests, for 7 euro (24 h).
Objects of interest in Zwickau: Robert Schumann house, cathedral, priest houses, urban art collection, school library, Horch museum.

- DEG members and partners who exchange including congress materials
and dinner on Sunday: 60,00 euro;
- Guests who are not DEG members including congress materials and
dinner on Sunday: 70,00 euro;
- Partners who do not exchange including dinner on Sunday evening
but without congress materials: 35,00 euro;
- one-day ticket, without materials and dinner on Sunday: for DEG
members, 20,00 euro; for guests, 25,00 euro;
- table for antiquarians, artists, sellers, etc., 25,00 euro. Please
pay in advance, then a table will be reserved for you!

Artists: Can send up to four exlibris (up to the dimensions DIN A5) or alternatively two exlibris (up to the dimensions DIN A4) and/or up to two P.F. sheets DIN A5 (or DIN A4) to be sent in! It applies thus the rule: or send in two DIN A5 sheets or send in one DIN A4 sheet!
