The winner of the Premio Acqui VII International Biennal of Engraving 2005 is Giovanni Turria with the work Spetter Sorra. The winner has been awarded a prize of 5.000,00 euros. Have also been awarded a Special Prize of the Jury to Susana Venegas Gandolfo (Peru) with the work Ventana, a Purchasing Prize to Alicia Diaz Rinaldi (Argentina) with Mas alla del silenzio and a Prize Consorzio Brachetto d'Acqui to Julianna Joos with the work L'Atelier géométrique.
The ex libris Competition, devoted this year the the Rotary International Centenay, has been won by Natalija Cernetsova (Latvia) with the work Bon Voyage. The Jury, made up by Rotary Club Acqui Terme - Ovada members and by ex libris experts, awarded a prize of 1.000,00 euros amd two Purchasing Prizes to Ponzalo Morambio (Chile) and Vladimir Zuev (Russia).
A retrospective exhibition devoted to Georges Rouault, with guided visits, completed the programme.
The award ceremony and the grand opening have been held in Acqui
Terme, saturday 21 mayo 2005 in the exposition area Kaimano.

Report of the commission of acceptance
In Acqui Terme, Hall of the Municial Board, saturday 22 january 2005, the Commission of acceptance held its meeting. Members of the commission were: President Giuseppe Avignolo and Enrico Della Torre, Paolo Repetto, Luigi Timoncini, coordinator Paolo Bellini, in order to select the submitted work.
As the outcome, the commission selected the prints to publish on
the catalogue and drew a short list of 25 works to be submitted
to the Popular Jury, which, according to the Prize rules, was responsible
for the allocation of the prizes. It also outlined sixteen works
to be marked as "signalled".

Report of the Popular Jury
The day 15 february 2005, in the Baccarat Hall in Grand Hotel Nuove Terme dof Acqui Terme, Popular Jury members of the International Biennal of Engraving "Pemio Acqui", undertook the exhamination of the works submitted by the Commission of acceptance.
