Competition outcome: International Ex-libris Competition "The sun and the moon".

The Fine Arts Museum Claudio León Sempere has just published the outcome of the competition: "El sol y la luna".
243 artists from 39 countries submitted 446 ex libris.
Winner of the first prize is Lithuanian Valentinas Ajauskas, second prize went to Latvian Natalija Cernetsova, third prize went to Hungarian Havasi Tama's.
Competition saw the usual, massive participation by eastern european artists, only Italian to reach final list is Stefano Patrone.
The exhibition grand opening will be held on 25 September, 2004, at the Museum. There's a good catalogue and an exhaustive Internet site (www.museosempere.com).

The ten participants from Italy:
Angelo Bagnasco, Giuliana Bellini, Mario Fadda, Remo Giatti, Valeria Grandi, Maria Grazia Guardincerri, Beatrice Palazzetti, Stefano Patrone, Vicenzo Piazza, Mauricio Sordelli.

The five members of the jury (Pablo Delfini, Mauricio Schvarzman, Claudio Lara, Eva Farji, Adrián Giachetti) decided to give a prize to the following artists:
1 - Valentinas Ajauskas (Lithuania)
2 - Natalija Cernetsova (Latvia)
3 - Havasi Tama's (Hungary).

Tezcan Bahar (Turkey)

Veselin Damyanov (Bulgaria)

Plamena Doycheva (Bulgaria)

Hristo Kerin (Bulgaria)

There were twenty more finalists, only Italian Stefano Patrone.
