Books: 'Remo Palmirani - L'esegeta dell'ex libris (Exegete of the ex libris)'
by Egisto Bragaglia.

Importance of image as a communication medium and art expression is universally aknowledged.
In particular, images in ex libris are an iconologic heritage of peculiar validity, telling witnesses of the social, ethical, moral character of ages and peoples.
Remo Palmirani, who devoted himself to the exlibristic culture since 1978, explored the subject thoroughly, in Italy and abroad. They are now twenty-five years since 1978, certainly an important amount of time in an individual's life, a time that spans a whole generation.
As president of Accademia italiana dell'Ex Libris (Italian Academy of Ex Libris), other than organizing around one hundred exhibitions, he also published a number of books that constitutes a sistematic approach and exegesis of the ex libris. In this sector's bibliography, nothing else comes close to the huge amount of publications he published.
There was the need to publish the detailed bibliography of this exceptional contribution, for the use of lovers and professionals of the ex libris; the book also has eighteen xilographies from the original woods, as a vivid synthesis of the european xilograpy of the last twenty-five years.
