VI International Biennal 2003 - Spring AIE meeting

Saturday, 17th May 2003, there'll be the Grand Opening of the exhibitions in Acqui Terme,
for the VI International Biennal 2003. Schedule is as follows:
h. 11.00 Grand Opening
h. 16.30 Roundtable (artists only) on Guidelines on how to choose prizes' Juries
(moderator: Chiara Gatti)
h. 17.30 Engraving history lesson, by prof. Paolo Bellini on Rembrandt, the whole story.
h. 18.30 Prize ceremony
Throughout the day there'll be:
- Associazione Italiana Ex libris (AIE) meeting
- Mini meeting on engraving techniques explanation
- Free guided tours of Leonardo Castellani exhibit
- Sample drinks: XXIII Wine Award Cittą di Acqui Terme
- Billboard exhibition: "Sailorman and ship in Italian Navy billboards"
The organizers of Acqui Biennale give AIE, for free, a stand in the
Kaimano area; it'll follow this opening hours: 11.00-12.30; 14.00-19.30.
AIE President and Board members will be available to members and the public
to exchange ideas and provide news on the ex libris and on collecting issues.

As well as the selected works of the VI Acqui Prize and the etchings of Leonardo Castellani,
it'll be possible to visit two ex libris exhibitions: works participating to the
competition "Afrodite's Dream" and "Erotic ex libris of the XX century".
There is also an exhibition of artists from Namibia.
